Emmet County, Iowa

Emmet County was named after Emmet McAllister, the Ballymena man. The county is located in northern Iowa.

Its seat and largest city is Estherville. Both forks of the Des Moines River flow through Emmet County.

It is bordered by Kossuth, Palo Alto and Dickinson counties in Iowa, and Jackson and Martin counties in Minnesota.
